What Is a Shadow Morning?

Shadow Morning is an opportunity for prospective learners to join us for a morning from 8:30-10:30 filled with exploration and discovery. Designed to help children feel at ease in their new surroundings, this immersive experience allows them to participate in activities, meet our guides, and connect with peers who could potentially become their classmates. 

What to Expect on a Shadow Morning
Here’s a look at what your child might experience during their Shadow Morning:

  • Morning Circle
    The day begins with our Morning Circle, a cherished time where students come together to set intentions, share thoughts, and build a sense of community. Your child will join in, experiencing firsthand how we foster connection and belonging from the start of the day.
  • Hands-On Learning
    Throughout the morning, your child will dive into hands-on learning activities that reflect our innovative approach to education. Whether it’s exploring a science experiment, creating art, or participating in a group project, they’ll see how we blend academics with creativity and play.
  • Outdoor Adventures
    Nature plays a big role in our curriculum, and Shadow Morning is no exception. Your child might join a nature walk, play in our outdoor learning spaces, or engage in a team-building activity that strengthens resilience and collaboration.

  • Comfortable Clothing:Dress your child in weather-appropriate clothes they can move and play in.
